Well the Pittenweem art festival was the proverbial baptism of fire. Goodness me! But it got us up and running in the kitchen and after a week’s recuperation we’ve got the kitchen open again. We had a lot of lovely comments during the festival and we’re continuing the fairly short menu we started with, and will develop that as we go along.
We’re pleased to be sourcing much of our produce from local suppliers: oatcakes from Adamson’s across the road from us; wonderful haddock and smoked haddock from J&A Imrie in St Monan’s; our meat is from Minick’s, including some splendid Balcaskie sirloin we served up for a private party during the festival – I’ll get that in again soon: delicious!; ice cream from Jannetta’s in St Andrews. And of course bread straight from the kitchen here. Oonagh’s mum’s original Irish soda bread recipe being the current loaf out the oven.
Our current kitchen opening hours are:
Thursday & Friday: dinner 6-9pm
Saturday: lunch 12.30 – 2.30 and dinner 6-9pm
Sunday: lunch 12:30 – 2:30
We will be doing traditional Sunday lunch in due course but for now it’s the regular menu on Sunday.
We’re fairly small so it’s always a good idea to reserve – 01333 311 587, or pop in to check availability.
Look forward to seeing you soon!
